Today I spent 20 minutes straightening out the bundle of charging cords on my desk. Then I swept the dog hairs from behind the printer…and perused eBay for a new pair of slippers. All the while realizing the irony that I was doing these things to avoid writing about how to stoke the fire within and go for what you want- about how enthusiasm can help you overcome procrastination.
A common observation I hear from midlife women is that they feel stuck and ho-hum about their lives; like the spark has gone away and they are just going through the motions without a lot of joy or eagerness.
They hire me to get them excited about their lives again by figuring out what they are 𝓹𝓪𝓼𝓼𝓲𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓽𝓮 about and 🌟🌟 putting a plan in action to 𝓰𝓸 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝔀𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓽𝓱𝓮𝔂 𝔀𝓪𝓷𝓽 and work through the resistance that makes them believe they can’t have it.
I guide women to let go of the grip with which they normally go through life, to loosen the reigns a bit, and to meet life’s challenges with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure.
It’s easy to say “just do it!” and “fake it til you make it” to muscle your way through any resistance. Yet, as my example above, it can still keep you stuck and unfocused. So, what’s the secret to get you past it and fuel you into living life at its fullest? 🎇
𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞. 𝐀𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥, 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.
Awakened gratitude pulls you out of lethargy and into deeper action. Instead of making life happen, you make life welcome – with all of its’ messiness and ups and downs.
Regardless of your current situation, learn to live into the awe and mystery of life. The reality is that life is full of challenges and chaos- we never really know what’s next (look at the last few months!!!).
Since nothing seems to make sense, when you do find something or someone who does make sense for you, embrace and celebrate that miracle through the pandemonium around you. Find happiness in the unique insanity of being here now. Find gratitude for being able to live and learn from it all. 💥
